Remel Insights is recruiting a Project Coordinator to support the implementation of a qualitative study in the area of Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH).
The study seeks to understand the experiences of women with disabilities in accessing SRH information and services, including barriers and facilitators to access, experiences with healthcare providers, and factors influencing access to appropriate, inclusive and disability-responsive SRH services.
The Project Coordinator will provide overall coordination and field-level oversight of the study, ensuring that data collection is implemented efficiently, ethically and in accordance with the approved study protocol.
The Project Coordinator will:
- Coordinate the day-to-day implementation of the study across selected study locations.
- Develop and maintain fieldwork schedules and coordinate research activities with the study team.
- Supervise and provide technical guidance to Research Assistants during participant recruitment and data collection.
- Coordinate participant recruitment and engagement in collaboration with Research Assistants and relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee the conduct of in-depth interviews (IDIs) and focus group discussions (FGDs).
- Ensure that interviews and FGDs are conducted in accordance with approved research protocols and ethical requirements.
- Monitor the quality and completeness of audio recordings, interview notes, consent documentation and other fieldwork materials.
- Conduct regular field debriefings and data-quality checks with the research team.
- Identify and promptly address fieldwork challenges, including recruitment, logistical and data-quality issues.
- Liaise with relevant community stakeholders and service providers to facilitate smooth implementation of field activities.
- Support transcription, translation, coding and preliminary thematic analysis of qualitative data.
- Maintain accurate fieldwork documentation and prepare regular progress and field reports.
- Track fieldwork progress against agreed timelines and deliverables.
- Ensure strict adherence to research ethics, informed consent, confidentiality, safeguarding and participant protection procedures.
- Support the Principal Investigator/Study Lead with study documentation, reporting and other project-related activities.
Applicants should have:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Population and Health, Public Health, Social Sciences, Sociology, Psychology, Development Studies, Population Studies, Nursing, Midwifery, or a related discipline. A Master's degree will be an advantage.
- At least three years of relevant experience in research, project coordination, field supervision or qualitative data collection.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating or supervising qualitative research involving IDIs, FGDs or similar methods.
- Experience working on health, sexual and reproductive health, disability inclusion, gender or related social research will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of research ethics, informed consent, confidentiality and safeguarding.
- Experience supervising Research Assistants or field data collection teams.
- Strong qualitative research skills, including experience with transcription, coding and/or thematic analysis.
- Excellent organisational, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple field activities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to engage respectfully and sensitively with women with disabilities and other potentially vulnerable participants.
- Fluency in Ewe and English. Fluency in French is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary research team.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the study locations as required.

The Project Coordinator will work closely with the study leadership and research team and will gain valuable experience in the coordination and implementation of qualitative health research.
